My Prediction Came TRUE!
For several months I have been watching the increase in “PAIN MANAGEMENT” prescriptions for OxyContin, Percocet, and Morphine.
And it’s just unbelievable!!
If you folks only knew how many prescriptions I fill each day for these highly addictive drugs, you would be stunned!
Now, I am not making any judgements here as to the need for these medications, but I do see a trend that is very upsetting.
I see more and more doctors choosing the route of “Pain Management”. In Ft Myers, Florida there is a new Pain Management building going up that looks more like a castle than a doctor’s clinic!
And in our local “Shopper” there is ongoing ad for pain management from a Neurologist. The kicker is this: $200 Initial visit and $130 Monthly Follow Ups. No Insurance Required!
The title of the ad reads: First Choice Pain Care. Specializing in Medication Management. Laura K. Morris, M.D. Board Certified Neurologist www.Pain239.com
Not a Board Certified Pain Management doctor, but board certified Neurologist. Seems like a good specialty to go into….You get your patients dependent on these highly addictive drugs, and then they have to come back each and every month for their new prescriptions which you sell to them…..Is this called Legal Drug Dealing?
Below are some statements from their website as well as my comments:
FIRST CHOICE PAIN CARE CLINIC DOCTORS ARE LICENSED TO DISPENSE MEDICATIONS THAT THEY PRESCRIBE TO THEIR PATIENTS. (Comment: Sounds like another money making opportunity for them)
BE ADVISED THAT FIRST CHOICE HAS AN ARMED GUARD ON DUTY DURING OFFICE HOURS AS WELL AS 24 HOUR VIDEO MONITORING. (Comment: This is indicative of the highly addictive quality of the drugs that are prescribed and the dependency that can result!!)
I use the above example for this purpose:
- More and more people are put on these drugs
- More and more people are becoming addicted
- More and more of these dangerous narcotics are now on the street
- More and more people are desperate to get their fix and will even commit robbery
Oh, my prediction that came true?
Soon a store that I work at would be robbed at gun point.
Two days ago my store was held-up at GUN POINT. And you know what they wanted—OxyContin, Percocet and Morphine. Thankfully no one was injured…but it’s just a matter of time till someone is shot and killed.

This question revolves around the FireFox Extension: Tamper Data. If I choose to Start Tamper before I click an action available on a website, and it lets me edit parameters, and informs me of the cookie/referer/etc. I know you can recreate that in your browser, but is it possible to recreate that on a different computer? Like, for example, IF I target the ‘Leave Faction’ button on, perhaps, a facebook application called ‘Nations’, IF i did that of course, could I recreate that command on another persons computer, lets say a link on the faction homepage? Which I’m not gonna do, but IF I wanted to? I want to learn how to do this, for knowledge reasons, so I can use it in day-to-day situations. Can someone shed some light on this?

I have 2 users on my PC running windows xp. Both have adm authority. I have no problem DLing Flash Player 10 on one of the users “sides” of the PC. On the other side I get to the DL manager, it get through the process but displays-”Failure to register”. I have tried all the KB issues at Adobe related to FP10. Changed the security settings, made sure both user sides matched. I also get referenced to KB19166 at Adobe and I follow all instructions and all variants given and still only the one side get through to a working FP10. I do the uninstalls, reboots and all that and still no progress. I have also tried non Adobe site stand alones too with no resolution.

I hate the stupid virus. I got the virus like 15 minutes ago. It is stopping me from opening taskmanager and anything else on my page, so I got on my dads. Every time i try to use system restore i receive the error, “System restore is not able to protect your computer. It was glitching every so often the programs would say not responding and have a white film over them I couldn’t do nothing I did the following. Scanned for viruses with Nod 32 scanned with spy bot (found faults) scanned with pc utillities (found faults) I also booted and tryed fixing with the windows cd the final thing I tried was to boot in safe mode which was the last thing I did and it started working so was it the safe mode and the only thing I can see altering is the visual display. did this fix my pc. Well, I’m not too sure it’s a trojan horse but it’s what I think. Anyways, one of my friends messaged me on msn saying, “is this you ? lol” then gave me a link. I clicked on it and it was one of those things where you have to download it. So I did. (I know, I’m very gullible D:) So I went back on msn, the computer was doing tthings automatically by itself. Everytime I tried to message someone, as soon as I start typing, it sends the same thing. “is this you ? lol” then the link. It then starts sending to every single person who’s online on my list. I shut down my laptop and I try again. It still keeps doing the same thing on my msn. The trojan horse is in my msn. Should I get rid of this virus by completely deleting my whole windows live messenger and reinstalling it again? I’m trying to get the simplest ways to get rid of this virus, besides restoring my laptop. Also can I have simple explanations with not too big words? I’m not really that intelligent, haha. My virus protection was malfunctioning for a short time yesterday, and during that time I got a virus. I believe I’ve gotten rid of it, but I’m now experiencing another problem, which I suspect is some sort of malware that got onto my computer at the same time as the other virus. Whenever I try to do a search (mainly just searches pertaining to the problem at hand, although some normal searches as well), any link that comes up redirects me to a site to buy things or page of fake search engine results. I’m not sure what’s going on and I can’t find out because whatever has installed itself on my computer or in my browser is hijacking my search results. I’m sure there’s an answer out there, but I can’t find it because I can’t do a proper search. Any tips you can give me for how to eliminate this problem would be greatly appreciated. Ive broke my laptop not very long ago, and the laptop was really good thought, it was very fast, no delays, and great. But ive Bought a new laptop, and its no where near as good. I got a virus in my computer, the virus randomly poops up websties when im online, or when i click on a link fro example a link from somthing i googled it send me to this ramdom pages. My computer decided to kick off the end of the year by picking up something that is making it act whacky. My AV (McAfee) is logging and blocking something called winupdate86 from creating files. Now it seems that every 20 minutes there is a pop up that states that Windows will download a anti spyware program. This is the first time that this has happened to me, so I don’t know how to handle it. I don’t even know if this is spyware, malware, adware or trojan. Even my AV is logging all this it is still does not seem to see this as a problem. So if you could help by answering some questions I would greatly appreciate it. 1. My computer has two hard drives. The AV is logging and blocking files in the first hard drive. Is the second hard drive infected? 2. What free programs are out there to help remove this from my computer? 3. My friend had an executable file that kept trying to log onto the internet. He fixed it by changing the .exe in the file to a .txt. If I know what files are causing the problem can I do the same thing, without harming my computer? 4. Can I take both hard drives, place them in external hard drive enclosures and have a friend with a clean computer scan them to find and remove the problem? 5. Could AVG be downloaded onto a thumb drive and then used to scan my computer? 6. Would it be possible to move files from the second hard drive to an external hard drive without infecting anything? 7. All my friends have Vista or Windows 7. I used Windows XP. If they decided to scan my computer would this cause a conflict with my drives. That is it for now. I need major help here. I am running ubuntu 9.10 and my hp g60 series laptop has an atheros ar5009 wireless card in it. I have been reading around on forums but I am very new and need some help. My sceptre x22wg lcd monitor is out of warranty and tech support wants to charge me quite a bit to get it fixed. I’m pretty sure I know what the problem is and I’m sure I’m competent enough to replace the power supply board if I can find somewhere to order a replacement part. I’ve never had to deal with this before, though, ordering replacement parts for a monitor. I’ve had my laptop since like April, and just at the beginning of this month it started getting really slow (online and offline), and eventually started warning me about how my hard disk is apparently bad, and I should send it to my manufacturer or something. Avira Free Version is a perfectly fine antivirus program, but apparently it does not have this (insert obscene adjective here) adware on its detection list. I was on the internet (Mozilla Firefox) and I was just browsing then a message came up and said something like ‘Windows defender needs you to restart your computer to solve a problem’ so I clicked it and then it obviously restarted. I tried to log onto my user area and it took longer than usual to load up and when it finally loaded up it had a blank background and my documents, no task-bar or shortcut. Okay..I’m totally a newb at this and I don’t really know much about what’s going on in my computer, but one day I was playig sims 2 and my computer shut down and restarted, and so I didn’t really make a big deal out of it until it kept happening. Then yesterday my comp started being extremely slow. I thought I had some type of virus so I tried doing a virus scan, and while waiting for that to finish I installed mAlwarebytes and got it installed but for some reason it didn’t run. I have a virus which disables safemode theirs a program that forces the computer into safe mode I ran it and my computer is trying to go into safe mode but the virus is disabling it and causing y computer to endlessly loop and not turn on, ever! Today i opened itunes and noticed that some of my songs wont play. its like they dont exist. If i double click on them it doesn’t do anything. If 1 song that does work goes to the next song (one that doesnt) it will just skip over it. I can play those songs that dont work in itunes in windows media player. It says my internet connection is excellent and this problem does not occur on the other laptop in the house. I have tried many things and there are no viruses or firewall problems. I decided to run IE’s diagnostic thing. It said there was some problem, that I was told could be solved by using Winsock XP Fix (because whenever IE tried to fix it, it claimed it fixed it and to restart my computer, but then when I would restart, the problem would still occur and be detected). I’m wanting to run multiple OS’s on my laptop due to Microsoft Virtual PC been too underpowered but not sure where to start from. Any good guides you can refer me to or even explain it yourself perhaps? I’m running Windows Vista and will be wanting to run Windows 7, Ubuntu, Fedora and ‘possibly’ Mac OS X (Yes I know EULA blah blah, but its for educational purposes..yes really!) Also if I install these will I still be able to access the recovery partition and do a fresh install of Vista at any point? Thanks

Recently my computer has been popping up blue stop screens, it has something to do with thekernell memory dump or something, so I copied all my files onto my flash drive and now the flash drives has a file on it that is saved as “BOOTEX”. When I open the file it says “Checking file system on E: The type of the file system is FAT. The volume is dirty.” What does this mean? It wasn’t there until I copied the files to it after the stop screens started. It also says my hard disk has a bad block. Is this a virus??? This virus or whatever it is won’t let me access windows internet explorer. When I try to start in safe mode it says something like sorry for the inconvenience your computer won’t start in safe mode. I’ve been to all the sites to help out with removing the program however they all request that I change the LAN settings. I do this but seconds later they get automatically changed back. Whenever I open a file the message: “Application cannot be executed… file is infected” Therefore I am unable to run any programs such as Task Manager in order to counter this virus. Last night my computer rebooted without warning or explanation. It came back up with everything normal seeming so I assumed it was one of those bastard windows updates. About an hour later I was using firefox and then it stopped responding to clocks. Outside of firefox, a mouseclick was recognized once per item, but no more. Using alt + ctrl + del results in the icon for the system monitor showing up in the tasktray, but nothing more. I could not interact. I rebooted it in safe mode and used system restore to take it to about 3 days back. (I haven’t had any other day work so far and I’ve tried at least 10 different days.) I thought it had fixed it, and I left the computer running all night with no programs open. In the morning, I went to firefox and after about 10 minutes, everything locked again. Rebooted and tried internet explorer with the same result. I just now removed firefox 3.0 and then installed 3.5, but that didn’t change anything. While downloading new nvidia drivers (I suspect that it’s a graphical problem) the system locked again and I just now rebooted. I am very frustrated. Neither AVG nor SpyRemover find any viruses or other malware. They’re both up to date. Part of what is bothering me is that there are no symptoms of viruses or malware outside of this. In some ways, that would almost be preferable. At the moment though, I am stuck, so please do what you can to help. I’ve always had no problems with getting internet on my computer. Now I can’t connect. I’ve checked and everything is plugged in. I don’t think it is a problem with the cables because I don’t get the message “Local cable disconnected”. All the other computers in my house are working fine. I think that something is wrong with the actual computer. I had a trojan (InternetSecurity2010) before that happened, maybe that has something to do with it? I’ve tried Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari. Other odd things are happening too…after a few hours or so none of the applications will work (iTunes, microsoft word, etc) and a lot of the words start to disappear. Likeee, the start button at the bottom left corner doesn’t say start, it just is a green blob and when you click on it, it only shows the picture for each application. Earlier I kept getting notices from my computer about downloading anti-spyware and how my computer is at risk and how they found a bunch of trojans and worms on my computer. So I opened my McAfee (thats the security I use and I thought it would alert me for any problems) so I checked it, no sweat it said nothing was wrong, so I wrote off the ones my computer was sending me because I was on the internet and I was trying to find a profile layout generator, and I thought that maybe it was false. So just in case I decide to run a virus scan to make sure everything is cool. I walk away from my computer for a few moments, and when i come back my computer is off. So I try to reboot it and it wont work. It refuses to reboot in windows regular. It gets to the little microsoft booting screen and then right before it hits the little chime and windows logo it turns black and just stays like that and wont do anything else. So I tried running a system restore point and a start-up repair in safe mode, I thought it would fix, I try again to reboot it, it does the same thing. But before my computer went haywire my McAfee said nothing was wrong, now here I am in safe mode trying to fix my computer, and McAfee is alerting me about how all my files need attention and how there all at risk. it started a couple of weeks ago, the keyboard and touch pad stopped working, thought it must be a virus so ran scans with AVG and Avira but nothing showed, the problem seems intermittent, sometimes everything seems fine and then it all goes weired again usually starting with the curser either not responding or jumping all over the screen and sometimes disappearing altogether. I have ran C cleaner, Spy-bot and a couple of hours ago cleaned the registry with Reg-cure, apparently I had over 2000 problems, none of these made any difference. I decided to do a full recovery but when I follow the instructions and try to boot from the recovery disc it just tries to boot normally and asks for my account password which I cant enter because the keyboard ain’t working. Let me start off by saying what actually happens with videos. Whenever a page comes up that has a potential video on it, ones in which you can click a play button, my computer freezes up immediately. I ran a virus scan and there are no viruses. Literally, a second after the page comes up it freezes and the “program is not responding”. It was working fine early today. Out of no where. I keep getting messages that pop up stating that my computer is infected, danger, attention, etc… then it tells you to download or continue unprotected. Uniblue does make a AntiSpyware for computers called Spy Eraser. However as this one appears to be legite, its comprimising my computer. After searching for the file I found it not as a program on the computer, but as a file in System32. Every two minutes those messages come up. I can not exit the program or disable it. It appears as if its a legitimate program, an icon on the bar next to the clock and one implanted on the desk top. However I ran all my spyware programs, anti-virus’ programs and id failed to detect it. So I instaled MalwareBytes and it found it, and removed it. I ran it twice and everything else twice. Three hours later while the computer was siting, the message popped up. The icon reappeared on the desktop. The message continues every two minutes. Each message is similar but a little different from the rest. However it never changes its motive. I ran MalwareBytes again, it detected the infected files. So I did some research and found that I should use a program called RegCure to eliminate the rest of the files that were not being removed under the registry. It found 1242 infected files, and fixed them. However, I still find myself in the same boat. However I was told that I may not need to re-install the Windows, XP. Any suggestions before I move ahead on the reinstallation. My computer had a virus and we got it rebooted and after getting it rebooted there is no sound but when I go on device manager and check it says the sound is fine and games that require sound are playing I think it has something to do with the settings. I went and checked almost all of them and there seems to be no problem last time there was a similar problem and someone sorted it out they sound sound was going in as an input and not coming out as an out put if this is the problem does someone know how I can adjust and if this is not the problem what is the problem. My home is only 1400 feet away from a 733 foot, 50,000 watt radio tower and another smaller radio tower next to it. In the past, I’ve had problems with my garage door opening with the remote. Now, my new computer is acting up. Sometimes when I start it up it just gets to the desktop and doesn’t load anything. No matter what I click nothing loads or happens. I scanned it with 3 different anti-virus/spyware programs and nothing was found. The room its in has a window facing directly at the towers. I blocked the window with some stuff and the computer works normally so far. Could the electromagnetic radiation be affecting my pc? I have a gateway mx6421 with windows xp I keep getting the blue death screen which does not stay up long enough for me to get an error code. I have tried to uninstall drivers remove programs and system restore and none have worked. I have tried reinstalling windows xp and it states I am running a newer version (which isn’t true). I have done virus scans, disc scans and the blue screen as usual shuts the computer down. I would do a system recovery however I do not have the disc (gateway did not give them) I have tried preforming it from the D drive however once I put in the operating disc which came with the computer it makes it to 18% and the damn blue screen shuts it down. If anyone can help me I’d appreciate it. I just want my computer back and my computer to stop shutting down.

So I got a new computer in the middle of October, it is a Toshiba Satellite A500/040, came with Windows vista Home premium. I got a Windows 7 upgrade disc that is only for my computer. I am running Windows XP SP3 and am connected to the internet through a Comcast modem and Belkin router. It says my internet connection is excellent and this problem does not occur on the other laptop in the house. I have tried many things and there are no viruses or firewall problems. I decided to run IE’s diagnostic thing. It said there was some problem, that I was told could be solved by using Winsock XP Fix (because whenever IE tried to fix it, it claimed it fixed it and to restart my computer, but then when I would restart, the problem would still occur and be detected). After using Winsock XP Fix, the problem stopped for a few hours, but is now back again and this program does not solve it anymore. Any help is appreciated, thank you.

I have a Dell Latitude Laptop using Windows XP. I took it to Geek Squad because it was skipping and the freezing up when I played DVDs or any kind of audio. When it freezes I have to turn it off witut shutting it down. It also wouldn’t freeze right away..it freezes into about 10 minutes of playing DVDs or youtube videos. It was also making weird noises when it froze. Best Buy informed me that the noise wasn’t any hardware issue, but the kind of noise the computer makes when it’s frozen. They said nothing was wrong hardware wise, and that I had 6 viruses on the laptop. Well now, all those viruses are removed, and my laptop is still skipping and freezing when I play DVDs..to the point where I have to turn off the computer without shutting it down. If it’s not viruses, and geek squad said everything is fine with the computer physically, then what is it? I’m very frustruated

The same day I uninstalled IE8 because it wasn’t displaying pages correctly Zone Alarm Firewall popped up an alert stateing IE was trying to access the internet - after I uninstalled it. I hit the deny button, but needless to say, I’m a little confused here. I’m running Windows XP SP3 on an HP Pavilion d4100e with Avira & ZA anti-virus suites & Windows Defender (they all seem to get along OK) & I run daily anti-virus scans. o.k. this thing called security tool kept popping up and telling me all these viruses I had on the computer. I have some hard disk errors on a laptop I’m fixing for a friend. There were probably viruses that removed important system and boot files. I tried the Windows XP recovery CD but it didn’t work. I’m now running a program called HDAT2 to check and repair bad sectors. However, if I decided to use their option of “wiping hard drive/disk”, does the hard drive become useless? Or can I still install Windows on it using an ISO CD?

I have Windows 7 Ultimate installed in my HCL laptop. Last month i was encrypting my external hard disk with “bit locker drive encryption”. It started normally, but suddenly after 49%, it stuck, displaying an error: “An error occurred. This disk has one or more errors, run chkdsk/r, if the error persist this may be indicative of a hardware fault…” I then thought to decrypt my data back and to disable the protection. When I tried doing this, after some time my PC hanged and the operation got aborted. When I restarted my system, i found that the disk is not being detected. It is not shown in “computer”, although the disk lights were on. I tried running the hard disk in “Ubuntu OS”, it works there, but all my data is encrypted. My hard disk is absolutely fine and OK. There is no problem with hardware and no virus is there in my PC as well. What to do now? How can i get my data back and how can i decrypt my harddisk? Please help, since this data worths me a lot. Wouldn’t you know it, though. At evewry single site, that I can mention, I have brought back viruses, worms, and “tons” of spy-ware. And this is from the “clean”, “safe”, web-sites. I know that the best hackers can penetrate any connection, including D.S.L., dial-up, and any other connection, to inject bad codes into home computers. How can internet users “safely” use the internet, without having to worry about hackers, and corporations, “injecting” garbage into our computers? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Recently, my clipta.com toolbar seems to be malfunctioning. Whenever I want to download a video, it only allows me to download a small portion of a video - say, I wanted to download a 99MB video, I was only able to download about an eighth of it. I do not know what is happening, but I have also been experiencing from strange redirections - when I click on a link from a Google Search, I get redirected all the time to another page completely, and I have to go back and do it a few times before it works, sometimes. Could it be a trojan or a virus or something? - because all my troubles started, I think (but I’m not that sure) when I downloaded a .exe file. When I opened it, it didn’t work. My security software detected a threat, and labelled it as “High” in risk level. Changes, according to my Internet Seurity Software, have also been made to my system files. It also seems that it may be a trojan horse. Could this be linked to my inability to download FULL versions of videos using my clipta.com toolbar? I use Mozilla Firefox (v. 3.5.5). My sons have an HP one year old laptop running Vista Home Premium 32 bit. Of course, just turned a year old two days ago and warranty is now up. There is not a lot of software on this thing. I installed ESET Nod32 and it runs well. I just scanned and there are no threats found. No popups are appearing in IE. There is no sign of a virus anywhere. There are multiple problems that I cannot figure out. When we try to shut the computer down, it gets stuck in Logging Off screen. I try Ctrl Alt Delete to bring up Task Manager but it will not appear. I get the Icon down in the lower right part of the screen, but cannot click on it to open it up. I tried to do a System Restore. I select it, but nothing happens. When I try doing it all over again, it says that it is already running, but it is not. I have tried uninstalling things they dont need but the uninstall freezes up also and when i hit cancel, it just remains cancelling without doing anything. I am usually pretty good at fixing things but this one has me stumped. If I could just do a restore, i feel like i could get it back to where it was before this started happening a couple of days ago,. Any help is appreciated.

I have AVG on it, but whenever I go to piratebay, not even download just go to a link on there I get a butt ton of viruses and my computer won’t allow me to run AVG, any program, or the internet because they are all corrupt. I spent 60 dollars to repair it last time and all they did was wipe my computer, how did they do this? I have a Dell Latitude Laptop using Windows XP. I took it to Geek Squad because it was skipping and the freezing up when I played DVDs or any kind of audio. When it freezes I have to turn it off witut shutting it down. It also wouldn’t freeze right away..it freezes into about 10 minutes of playing DVDs or youtube videos. It was also making weird noises when it froze. Best Buy informed me that the noise wasn’t any hardware issue, but the kind of noise the computer makes when it’s frozen. They said nothing was wrong hardware wise, and that I had 6 viruses on the laptop. Well now, all those viruses are removed, and my laptop is still skipping and freezing when I play DVDs..to the point where I have to turn off the computer without shutting it down. Hey, i have been having alot of problems wit my CPU and its been very slow and i keep getting those Online Spam pop ups where you get those fake virus scans. I also have problems downloading Programs and opening and using certin programs. It ether doesnt open or cant find certin programs. It was awhile ago when I saw it, but there is apparently something you can download and burn to a disk and it will delete just about everything from your computer to make reformatting easier. Anybody know what the website is? There are missing, necessary files on our desktop or there may have been a virus and now its all screwy. I just got a laptop so was able to transfer all the stuff I needed from the desktop to the laptop, so it’d be better just to reformat since I already have everything backed up here so to speak.

Copmaq presario 2500 maybe 7+ years old. How do I get this thing to run faster. When we boot it up it takes 5 - 10 minutes before you can use anything, any sooner than that it will freeze up. The anti virus recently expired and anything I tried to put onto it totally screwed it up. After Mcafee I couldnt get anything to run. I took that off and am using a free avg for now. Well i hav windows 7 and it was workin perfectly then suddenly it comes up with a threat detected saying C:/Windows/Temp/Bla bla bla/Svchost.exe. I recently bought a laptop over Christmas along with Microsoft 2007 Home & Student and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010 (they are both on disc/CDs). Do I still need an internet connection for installing them, like if I was required to activate something online? I know on boxes of both it says if you don’t have a CD drive you can install if online, since they give you an activation code. I DO have a CD drive. I have some hard disk errors on a laptop I’m fixing for a friend. There were probably viruses that removed important system and boot files. I tried the Windows XP recovery CD but it didn’t work. I’m now running a program called HDAT2 to check and repair bad sectors. However, if I decided to use their option of “wiping hard drive/disk”, does the hard drive become useless? Or can I still install Windows on it using an ISO CD?

Today i opened itunes and noticed that some of my songs wont play. its like they dont exist. If i double click on them it doesn’t do anything. If 1 song that does work goes to the next song (one that doesnt) it will just skip over it. I can play those songs that dont work in itunes in windows media player. Also when i tried importing some of the songs into sony vegas 8 it says to make sure i have permission and that the file is not corrupt (something like that), and it wont let me import those songs. I’ve had my laptop for approximately two years and all of a sudden it has started to shut down constantly. I got a virus in my computer, the virus randomly poops up websties when im online, or when i click on a link fro example a link from somthing i googled it send me to this ramdom pages. My internet explorer also keeps on saying that there was an error so it keeps shutting down. I already scaned my compuer several times and all it catches is a tracking cookie, It never picks up any virus. Also one of the sities that popped up was about norton popping up sites and had people’s comments of how annoying that was. It was a Norton site(wich pooped up too) I dont know if that is even relevant to this. Earlier I kept getting notices from my computer about downloading anti-spyware and how my computer is at risk and how they found a bunch of trojans and worms on my computer. So I opened my McAfee (thats the security I use and I thought it would alert me for any problems) so I checked it, no sweat it said nothing was wrong, so I wrote off the ones my computer was sending me because I was on the internet and I was trying to find a profile layout generator, and I thought that maybe it was false. So just in case I decide to run a virus scan to make sure everything is cool. I walk away from my computer for a few moments, and when i come back my computer is off. So I try to reboot it and it wont work. It refuses to reboot in windows regular. It gets to the little microsoft booting screen and then right before it hits the little chime and windows logo it turns black and just stays like that and wont do anything else. So I tried running a system restore point and a start-up repair in safe mode, I thought it would fix, I try again to reboot it, it does the same thing. But before my computer went haywire my McAfee said nothing was wrong, now here I am in safe mode trying to fix my computer, and McAfee is alerting me about how all my files need attention and how there all at risk.

Laptop: Lenovo Y410 OS: win XP sp3 AntiVirus: Norton Internet Security 2009 Back in the Philippines, I was using my laptop normally. No problems. I could connect to the internet, download stuff with p2p, etc. About a week ago, we arrived in Las Vegas and have been living with my uncle’s. I was enjoyed his really really fast internet (well, compared to my connection back in the Philippines, It was incredibly fast). I was able to download stuff of interest and also surf normally. The problem occurred after I visited a pornsite (and I’ve been visiting this pornsite back then so, I had confidence that It didn’t pose a threat to my system) (and please, I don’t give a **** about what you think about me If I visit porn sites) My laptop started hanging. I have to hold the power button just to turn it off. Usually, windows would show an error that “the laptop didn’t turn off properly” blah blah… It didn’t. After my next attempts of rebooting the laptop, about 5 minutes into operation, it would slow down, and after a few seconds, it would freeze and after trying to run task manager, it would sound off a loud beep that wouldn’t end unless I turn off the laptop by holding the power button. This happens when I’m connected to the net. This also happens when I’m not connected but gives my laptop more normal run time, and eventually hangs. I tried running system restore, It said that “it couldn’t help solve the problem”. I tried running system restore while in safe mode and it was successful. I rebooted back into normal and the same problem occurred (hang, loud beep). I tried doing a system scan in safemode (since in normal mode, it would hang right away), and it found 1 threat (mebroot) and said (Norton) to have resolved it. Fortunately, I had a back up OS (win XPsp3 again installed on a separate partition). I ran it, and connected to the internet. I surfed to google, fry’s, target, (since I was shopping for stuff). After about 20 minutes into browsing, the same thing happened to my laptop (without browsing porn). It hanged, and sounded a loud beep again. My laptop is a year old, and warranty doesn’t cover it any more. I want to know if I’m having hardware problems or software problems. Thanks! Happy New Year!

I have been running the free version of AVG for years but it has been causing problems with Internet Explorer 8. I solved it by replacing my AVG with BT Net Protect but now my father is having the same problem and his ISP doesn’t provide any security software. It was my sisters old computer, which always worked fine for her but when put it in my room it no longer works properly. The keyboard and mouse are still on, the number lock light is illuminated, but when i hit Cap lock the light doesn’t come on. The computer isn’t frozen, the clock works and the little hour glass appears by the mouse. Because the buttons don’t work Ctrl Alt Del doesn’t work, or Alt F4. I can’t open a virus scan either.

My home is only 1400 feet away from a 733 foot, 50,000 watt radio tower and another smaller radio tower next to it. In the past, I’ve had problems with my garage door opening with the remote. I am running Windows XP SP3 and am connected to the internet through a Comcast modem and Belkin router. It says my internet connection is excellent and this problem does not occur on the other laptop in the house. I have tried many things and there are no viruses or firewall problems. I decided to run IE’s diagnostic thing. It said there was some problem, that I was told could be solved by using Winsock XP Fix (because whenever IE tried to fix it, it claimed it fixed it and to restart my computer, but then when I would restart, the problem would still occur and be detected). After using Winsock XP Fix, the problem stopped for a few hours, but is now back again and this program does not solve it anymore. Any help is appreciated, thank you.

I have only 12 programs installed, which are: -Adobe Fireworks CS4 (NEEDED) -Adobe Flash Player Plug-in (For Mozilla Firefox) -Apple Application Support -Apple Software Update -AVG Free 9.0 -Belkin Wireless Utility (My Internet) -Camtasia Studio (NEEDED) -Free Registry Repair (Tried To Fix With This) -Google Chrome (NEEDED) -Java(TM) 6 Update 17 -Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable -Mozilla Firefox 3.5.6 (NEEDED) -Quicktime Pro 7 (NEEDED) -Registry Easy v5.6 Pro (Tried To Fix With This) -Windows Explorer 8 -Windows XP Service Pack 3 -WinRAR Archiver Pro (NEEDED) My Computer is 10 Years Old. A Compaq FS740 Monitor with a Compaq Presario Tower. I have different problems every time I HAVE to reboot. I Full-Scanned the computer with my AVG Free 9.0, and no viruses were found. I don’t know if it’s either a problem with the Registry, a Virus, or something else. What can I do to stop this random freezing?

Hey! My firefox is really slow for some reason.. I did scans of maleware and virus, i deleted add-ons.. i tried a re-install.. i tried LOT’s of things but it still slow and hell. And no, my internett is pretty fast, i have a 10 mb fiber connection. So that is not the problem here. Anyhelp?

I have over thousands of virus on my pc according to the Spybot-search and destroy after scanning but it won’t fix the problems. I’ve also used norton but my free trial is over.I’ve used 4 anti-virus softwares but it’s no use. Any help would be much appreciated.Thanks.

i have an Hp Pavillion a6430w,and today i had to restart it since i had installed a free trial of an antivirus,anywyas it would not restart it would get to the part when it loads on the bottom middle of the screen, but it just kept loading and not going anywhere, i had to restart it several times for it to finally work. any one else have this problem or know what might be causing this? my PC has shitty Windows Vista

I was playing an app on Facebook (Graffiti) and my Mac warned me that the page may contain malware. Of course I ignored it because I wanted to draw more with the app, and when i was done the page scrolled up by itself and my curser moved across the screen a bit on its own.
